Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, Sangametra gets to be the flower messenger for Hoong as he drives her all the way to Seri Petaling. Along the way, she offers to sing two songs.

After returning from Orissa this January, Geetha choreographed and mounted a new Odissi production and presented a few of her dance students. The production was called TRANSCENDANCE and played for three nights at the Panggung Bandaraya in Kuala Lumpur. It was the first time in many years that Geetha took to the stage. Hari: then and now

At five years old, Hari used to charm all our friends with his smile.

This is Hari, sixteen years old, in last year's production of Abhaya. In full Odissi costume and makeup, he was caught in an intense moment during the performance.

A Sunny Morning

Sangametra goes to Pre-School

Excited about the idea of going to school and yet, quietly scared of being left behind, Sangametra was all pony tails, track pants, and white shoes on the first day of school. She goes to the kindergarten in the same Tamil school that Giri goes to. This is just across from where we live in Palm Court. Well then, that's all our three kids in school. Hari is in Form Five, Giri in Standard Two, and this girl poised to take the school by storm when she goes into Year One.

This week she brought back this little work she did in school, and has begun to talk to me endlessly in Tamil gibberish. Of course, I had to make the necessary replies in Tamil gibberish as well.

Hi all, happy new year. And happy belated birthday, Hoe. Stella turned one on jan 1. She's getting unbelievably grown up!

Having trouble posting photos, so here is a video for now.
